The problem we set out to solve

Finding a reliable tradesperson in London has historically meant relying on word of mouth, trawling through review sites of varying trustworthiness, or taking a chance on whoever was available at short notice. The experience rarely improved once the job started: call-out charges were unclear, quotes were unpredictable, and the final invoice rarely matched what was discussed.

For larger properties and ongoing maintenance, the picture was worse. There was no straightforward way to track what had been done, when, and at what cost across multiple jobs and multiple contractors.

FixMate was built to address these gaps directly.

Our mission

To make property maintenance professional, transparent, and fairly priced — starting with London and expanding from there.

We believe the Trades should be compensated appropriately for skilled, reliable work. We believe customers should know exactly what they are paying for before a engineer arrives, and should be able to trust that the person who turns up will do the job properly.

How FixMate works

Our process is designed to be straightforward from the customer's perspective:

Describe your job

Use our booking form to describe the issue, upload photos if helpful, and receive a fixed price before you commit.

We match and dispatch

We match your job to a vetted, quality-scored engineer in our network and dispatch them with real-time tracking.

Job completed

Your engineer completes the work. Payment is handled upfront — no chasing invoices after the fact.

You review

After the job, you can leave a review. Reviews are published on our site and inform quality scores that affect future job allocation.
