What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences and understand how you interact with the site.

What cookies does FixMate use?

We categorise our cookies into three groups:

1. Essential cookies (always active)

These cookies are necessary for FixMate to function. You cannot opt out of them. They include:

Cookie Purpose Expires
fm_consent Stores your cookie preferences (categories accepted/rejected, version, timestamp). 1 year
Session cookies (HTTP-only) Maintain your booking session and customer portal login state. Session / 7 days
CSRF tokens Protect form submissions against cross-site request forgery. Session

Lawful basis: Legitimate interest — these cookies are strictly necessary for the service to operate.

2. Analytics cookies (optional)

These cookies help us understand how visitors use FixMate so we can improve it. They are only set if you have accepted analytics cookies.

Cookie / Script Provider Purpose Expires
Plausible Analytics Plausible.io (EU-hosted) Privacy-first page view and event tracking. No cross-site tracking. No personal identifiers stored. Plausible privacy policy. No persistent cookie — session only
polsia_vid (localStorage) Polsia (infrastructure provider) Anonymous visitor ID for Polsia's analytics beacon. Only sent if analytics consent is given. Persistent (localStorage)

Lawful basis: Consent — only active when you have accepted analytics cookies.

3. Marketing cookies (optional)

FixMate does not currently run remarketing ad campaigns. The marketing cookie category is provided for future use. If you enable marketing cookies, this would allow us to show relevant ads on third-party platforms. No marketing cookies are currently active.

Third-party live chat (Crisp) is also gated behind marketing consent, as the Crisp widget may set its own cookies.

Lawful basis: Consent.

How to manage your cookie preferences

You can update your preferences at any time using the button below, or via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page.

You can also control cookies at the browser level:

Do Not Track

We respect Do Not Track (DNT) signals. When DNT is enabled in your browser, FixMate's analytics scripts will not fire, regardless of your cookie consent choice.

Third-party links

FixMate pages may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the cookie practices of those sites. Please check their own cookie policies.

Updates to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add new features or when regulatory requirements change. When we bump the consent version, existing users will be re-prompted to review their preferences.
